Colin & Liz
Colin and Liz have been part of this church community since it began in 1981.
Colin has served the church over the years as a worship leader/musician, elder and since 2005 has been the Senior leader together with Liz.
He is a passionate believer and communicator of God’s heart and desires to reach out to those who don’t know God and build a community of people who represent Jesus and his kingdom well.
Liz leads the Kings Tots group, helps in the kids church, and is also involved in the church administration.
Colin married Liz in 1983 and together they have two daughters and five grandsons.
Ben & Steph
Ben has a passion for teaching the word of God and raising people up to be all that God created them to be.
He joined King’s Church in 2014 when he and Steph moved from Birmingham, where he grew up and has been in eldership since 2017.
He enjoys a wide variety of hobbies including board games, puzzles and woodwork, and can be found on a Saturday afternoon enjoying a pint of real ale in a beer garden.
He and Steph have two children.
Steph is an active member of King’s Church, both as an employee and volunteer.
Having moved away from the Wirral to attend the Bible College of Wales, and then lived in Birmingham for a few years, Steph returned with her husband Ben in 2014, joining the Eldership team in 2017.
Steph is passionate about the church, overseeing King’s Kids and serving as part of the teaching team.
Her desire is to see the church connecting and bringing the kingdom into her local community.
Steph enjoys family time with her two children and socialising with friends.
Ian & Wendy
Ian has been part of King's Church since 1990 and joined the Leadership Team as an Elder in 2017.
He serves on the Trustee Board at King's, which ensures compliance with all financial, safeguarding and legal requirements.
He jointly heads up the Worship Team with Colin, regularly leading worship on a Sunday morning and would describe himself as a passionately enthusiastic member of the team.
As part of the Preaching Team, Ian's hope and desire is to inspire and challenge people to realise their full potential in Christ, and grow into everything that God has for them as they engage with His ongoing transformation process.
In addition, Ian is able to put his "Grandad" skills to good use by helping on our 0 to 3's Gems Teams once a month in our Creche facility on a Sunday morning.
Wendy has been a member of King’s Church for about 35 years. From 2017 she has been part of the Leadership Team.
Her passion is to see women grow in their relationship with God, and helps them to recognise their potential and purpose God has for them.
She is also involved in Bible Studies.
She serves on the Welcome Team, and also on the coffee bar, she views it as a great opportunity to see and say hello to everyone!
She is also part of a team to make Church4Everyone happen every 4th week, encouraging other members of that team to step up and take on new challenges.
She also plays a part in the social events we have throughout the year. Great opportunities for people to bring friends and family along, to have fun packed times together.
She is married to Ian who is also part of the Leadership Team, and has 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren, so always busy!!
